94TH FOCA National Convention Cancelled
/The Executive Board of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America has made the difficult decision to officially cancel plans to hold the 94th National Convention in Minneapolis, MN which was originally scheduled to take place from July 24 – July 27, 2020. Pandemic-related restrictions, currently mandated by the state of Minnesota, prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people. The inability to safely as well as lawfully gather delegates and members from across the country for face-to face deliberation during plenary sessions, celebration of our faith during church services, and socialization during fellowship events, defeats the purpose of holding a convention.
Sincere thanks are extended to Past President Polly Walker, convention chairperson, along with the convention planning team and members of Chapter 94 for all the hard work and efforts that went into planning the convention. The FOCA looks forward to gathering, in person, next year for the 95th National Convention in Baltimore, MD and the possibility of returning to Minneapolis for a convention in the near future.
